Campgrounds, RV parks, and outdoor recreation destinations are growing industries, and they need people who know how to manage them. CCC's Outdoor Hospitality programs prepare you for careers in campground and RV park operations, outdoor lodging management, and recreation-based tourism. These programs are new for Fall 2026 and are the first of their kind in Arizona.

Program Options

Both credentials are designed for students entering the workforce. Neither is a transfer degree, though discussions about a future 2+2 pathway with NAU are ongoing.

Hospitality Management: Outdoor Hospitality and RV Park Operations (AAS)

A two-year workforce degree that builds on the certificate with additional coursework in general education and foundational hospitality and business skills. Includes a required internship.

Hospitality Management: Outdoor Hospitality and RV Park Operations Certificate

A focused credential completable in approximately one year. Includes four core courses and a paid or unpaid internship. Credits from the certificate apply toward the AAS.

Hospitality Management credentials at CCC are designed for direct employment, not transfer. However, students who also complete the Associate of Business (ABUS) and choose to transfer to NAU’s Hospitality program should note that HRM 270 is waived for students who transfer with an ABUS degree. Is the Lodging and Guest Management AAS a new program?
The program has been at CCC for many years. The name changed for Fall 2026 from Hospitality Management: Hotel Emphasis to Lodging and Guest Experience Management to more accurately reflect the range of careers the program prepares students for.
Is the certificate only for high school students?
The certificate is offered through CCC’s Early College program and is designed with high school students in mind. It is a real industry credential that prepares students for entry-level roles in hotels and restaurants. Adult learners interested in a focused credential should speak with an advisor about options.
Can I work in the industry while completing the program?
Many students in hospitality programs work in the industry while studying, which directly reinforces what they are learning in class. Advisors can help you build a schedule that accommodates your work situation.
