CCC offers associate degrees and certificate programs that prepare students to transfer to Arizona universities including Northern Arizona University, Arizona State University, and the University of Arizona. Students who complete their degree requirements at CCC can transfer as juniors, often saving thousands of dollars compared to starting directly at a four-year institution.
Your Student Wants to Build Job Skills or Enter the Workforce
CCC’s career and technical education programs prepare students for employment in high-demand fields including healthcare, construction, public safety, business, and skilled trades. Many programs lead to industry-recognized credentials and can be completed in a year or less.
Your High School Student Wants to Get a Head Start on College
CCC offers Early College programs that allow high school students to earn college credit before they graduate, often at little or no cost.

Financial Aid For Parents
Paying for college is often a family effort. Many students use a combination of grants, scholarships, student employment, savings, student loans, and family contributions.
At CCC, we encourage students to take an active role in understanding and managing their financial aid while working closely with their families.
- Completing the FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the first step for most students seeking financial assistance.
Completing the FAFSA can help determine eligibility for:
- Federal grants
- Student loans
- Work-study opportunities
- Some scholarships
- Loan Options
Federal Direct Student Loans
These loans are borrowed by the student and are often the first loan option families should consider.
Students must:- Complete the FAFSA
- Submit any requested documents
- Accept loan offers through Self-Service
- Complete required federal loan documents and counseling
Parent PLUS Loans
Parents who wish to help cover educational expenses may apply for a Direct PLUS Loan through the U.S. Department of Education.
Parent PLUS Loans:- Are borrowed by the parent
- Require a credit review
- Can help cover costs not met by other financial aid
Private Loans
Private loans may be available through private lenders, but families should explore federal aid options before considering private borrowing.

- Scholarships
CCC scholarships are available to help students cover education costs. The scholarship application typically opens in December and closes at the end of February for the following academic year. Tribal scholarships and external scholarships may also be available.

FERPA & STUDENT PRIVACY
A common question from families is:
“I’m paying for college. Why can’t the college talk to me about my student’s records?”
Once a student begins attending CCC, their education records are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This means college staff cannot share information about grades, academic standing, registration, financial aid, student accounts, or class schedules without the student’s permission.
How Students Can Authorize Information Sharing
Students who wish to allow CCC to discuss their records with a parent or other trusted individual may complete the FERPA Release Authorization, the Financial Aid Information Release, and/or Parental Affidavit

Academic Advisors
Academic Advisors help students stay on track and achieve their goals. Academic Advisors assist with educational planning, program selection, transfer pathways, course scheduleing, and more.
Tutoring & Academic Support
CCC offers resources designed to help students success including free tutoring, technology assistance, disability resources, and more.
Student Accounts
Many families help cover tuition and educational expenses.
Parents and supporters may be able to make payments on behalf of a student through CCC's approved payment processes.
Students should review payment options and deadlines early to avoid registration or enrollment issues.
TRIO
TRIO Student Support Services gives eligible students extra support throughout college, including tutoring, academic planning, financial aid guidance, career exploration, and transfer preparation. For families, it can provide added reassurance that your student has people and resources to help them stay on track.
CCC2NAU
If your student plans to continue at Northern Arizona University, CCC2NAU helps make the path from CCC to NAU clear. Students get coordinated advising, choose courses that apply toward their NAU degree, and prepare for a smoother transfer while starting at CCC.
