Payment Plans
How Payment Plans work
Can’t pay your entire balance at once? CCC offers a no-interest payment plan that allows you to divide your tuition balance into smaller payments over the semester.
Payment plans are administered through CCC’s online payment system, Transact, which is accessed in myCCC. The payment plan has a $35 non-refundable enrollment fee each semester.
Payment Plan Dates and Rates
Your down payment, number of installments, and payment dates depend on when you enroll. Enrolling earlier may give you a longer time to space out your payments into smaller amounts.
The enrollment period is when you start your payment plan. The down payment is how much you have to pay when you first start the plan, which is 20% of your total balance. The rest of your charges will be split evenly across the rest of your payments.

Payment Plan Examples
Example: Enrolling in April
Jordan owes $1,600 and signs up for a payment plan in April. Jordan pays $35 enrollment fee plus 20% of $1,600 ($1600 x 0.20), which is $320 when enrolling. His total for the first payment is $355 ($320+$35=$355). The remaining $1,280 is divided into six monthly payments of about $213.33, due each month from May 20 through October 20.
Example: Enrolling in August
Taylor owes $1,600 and signs up for a payment plan in August. Taylor pays the $35 enrollment fee plus 20% of $1,600 ($1600 x 0.20), which is $320 when enrolling. Her total for the first payment is $355 ($320+$35=$355). The remaining $1,280 is divided into three monthly payments of about $426.67, due each month from September 20 through November 20.
These scenarios are examples. Charges will vary by student based on their financial aid status, as well as how many classes and which classes they take. The final payment may vary by a few cents because of rounding.
How to Enroll in a Payment Plan
To view your payment plan options:
- Log in to myCCC.
- Select “Pay Your Bill.”
- Select “Payment Plans” from the sidebar menu.
- Select “View Payment Plan Options”
- Choose which option fits your situtation the best and submit it.
- You will be charged the $35 fee and 20% of what you owe when you submit the plan.
You must have charges on your account to set up a plan. If you were already dropped from your classes for non-payment, you need to re-enroll before a payment plan can be established. If you have a hold on your account, you need to contact Student Accounts before enrolling in a plan.
How Can I Make Payments?
You can make payment-plan payments electronically. We do not accept cash payments for setting up a payment plan.
- eCheck: No additional payment fee.
- Credit or debit card: A 2.95% non-refundable service fee is added to each payment.
- Automatic Payments are available. If you set this up, it will automatically charge the card or bank account on file on your due date. CCC recommends automatic payments to help avoid missed payments.
What If My Balance Changes?
Adding or dropping classes may change your payment-plan balance.
If you add a class, your later payments may increase. This includes late-start classes. You need to log back into myCCC and accept the updated payment-plan amount. If you do not accept it, you will owe a balance at the end of the semester.
If you drop a class, your plan may be adjusted depending on whether the class qualifies for a tuition refund.
CCC expects the full balance for all classes to be paid by the end of the payment schedule.
What If I Miss a Payment?
Missed payments may result in additional fees. There is a $10 fee for each missed payment.
Repeated unsuccessful payments can also affect your payment plan. Contact Student Accounts as soon as possible if you know you cannot make a scheduled payment.
What If I Am Waiting for Financial Aid?
Continue making your scheduled payment-plan payments until your financial aid is actually available.
Being eligible for aid or having a FAFSA on file does not guarantee that your aid will be disbursed before a payment-plan installment is due. CCC’s payment procedure makes students responsible for scheduled plan payments regardless of later financial aid eligibility.
If financial aid is later awarded and will cover your balance, contact Student Accounts, because the payment processor cannot cancel the plan for you. [Is this true?]
What If I Receive a Credit?
If changes to your account or additional payments create a credit balance, CCC processes the refund on a scheduled refund date.
TRansact Disclaimer
CCC uses Transact Campus Payments, Inc. to process your payments. Below are the rules that Transact follows as required by law.
